Funny flower seeds

One sunny day, Sicily went to the shop with Mommy.
They were going to buy flower seeds, and Sicily promised not to bonk into anything.

But the shop was very crowded.
And suddenly—bash!—Sicily bumped into a tall shelf.

Shake, rattle, plop!
Flower seed packets fell right on Sicily’s head like paper rain.

Sicily laughed. “I look like a flower sandwich!”
Mommy brushed off the seeds, and they went home to plant them.

Later, in the yard, they started digging holes.
That’s when Mommy gasped and said, “Sicily… don’t move.”

Tiny green sprouts were popping out of Sicily’s hair.
Then poof! flowers bloomed right on her head.

Sicily looked in the mirror.
“I am a walking garden,” she said proudly.

Nala the dog ran over and sniffed.
She tried to eat the flowers, but they were too stuck.

Nala tugged. Sicily wiggled.
Nothing moved except the flowers growing taller.

Mommy grabbed scissors and tried to snip them.
Snip! Snip! But every time she cut one, two more grew back.

“Oh no,” Mommy said.
“This is getting very flowery.”

So Mommy put a big basket over Sicily’s head.
For a moment, everything was quiet.

Then the basket started shaking.
Bump. Wiggle. POP!

Flowers burst out through the holes, the sides, and even the handle.
It looked like the basket was wearing Sicily!

People walking by stopped and stared.
One person said, “Are you selling those pants?”
Another said, “No, I think the flowers come free.”

Suddenly—POP POP POP!
The flowers jumped right out of Sicily’s hair and floated down to the ground.

Sicily’s head was finally clear.
She smiled the biggest smile ever.

“I liked the flowers,” she said,
“but I like my head better without them.”

They planted the flowers in the garden instead.
And from that day on, Sicily always walked very carefully in the shop—
especially near shelves that like to sprinkle seeds. 🌸😄
