Brooklyn and the Gymnastics Competition

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Brooklyn.
She loved gymnastics.
She had a chow chow dog named Nala.

Nala barked at everyone.
Brooklyn lived with her stepmother.
She also lived with two stepsisters.

The stepmother was not kind.
The stepsisters were not kind.
They made Brooklyn do all the chores.

Brooklyn cleaned the house.
She washed the dishes.
She still found time to practice gymnastics.

Nala stayed with Brooklyn.
Nala barked at the stepsisters.
That made Brooklyn smile.

One day, a letter came.
It was an invitation.
There was a big gymnastics show in town.

Everyone could go.
The best gymnast would win a gold ribbon.
The stepsisters wanted to go.

The stepmother said yes to the stepsisters.
She said no to Brooklyn.
“You must stay home and clean,” she said.

Brooklyn felt sad.
Nala barked at the stepmother.
The stepsisters laughed and left.

Brooklyn sat with Nala.
A bright light appeared.
A fairy godmother came.

“I will help you,” said the fairy godmother.
She waved her wand.
Brooklyn got a pretty gymnastics outfit.

The fairy godmother waved again.
Nala got a shiny collar.
“You can go to the show,” she said.

“But be home by midnight,” said the fairy godmother.
“The magic will end then.”
Brooklyn and Nala went to the show.

Brooklyn did gymnastics.
She flipped and jumped.
Everyone clapped loud.

The judges watched.
Brooklyn won the gold ribbon.
Nala barked happily.

The clock started to ring.
It was midnight.
Brooklyn ran home fast.

Nala ran with her.
The magic outfit went away.
The shiny collar went away.

Brooklyn got home safe.
She still had the gold ribbon.
She hugged Nala.

The next day, the judges looked for the winner.
They found Brooklyn.
She showed her gold ribbon.

Brooklyn got to do gymnastics every day.
Nala stayed with her.
They were very happy.
