Brooklyn loved animals. She was five and had big dreams of seeing them all. One sunny day, Uncle Chris took her to the zoo. "Let's see the lions and tigers!" Brooklyn clapped her hands with joy.
At the zoo, they saw many animals. But the zebras were gone. Brooklyn felt sad. Uncle Chris had an idea. He was good at making things from wood. "I will make you a zebra!" he said with a smile.
Back home, Chris worked hard. He carved and painted. Brooklyn watched, excited. But oh no! The wooden zebra was too big. It would not fit in her room. Brooklyn frowned. What could they do now?
Uncle Chris thought and thought. Then he had a fun idea. They took the big zebra back to the zoo. The zookeepers laughed and loved it. They put it near the zebra pen. Now Brooklyn could see her wooden zebra anytime.
Brooklyn was happy. She hugged Uncle Chris. "You made the best zebra ever!" she said. And from that day on, the wooden zebra made everyone at the zoo smile, just like a real one.
