Brooklyn And The Witch With A Lid On It

## Page 1
Something strange was coming.
Brooklyn was at home making silly stories for her dolls when the doorbell rang.
Her friends Lizzie and Brielle rushed in, giggling and out of breath.

## Page 2
Before Brooklyn could tell a joke, a cold breeze swept through the room.
Purple smoke whooshed like a tornado.
A witch popped out and cackled loud.

## Page 3
“Time for trouble!” the witch shouted, waving her crooked wand.
Zap!
Lizzie and Brielle shrank into tiny babies wearing the same clothes.

## Page 4
Brooklyn froze for one quick second as the babies crawled in circles.
The witch floated higher and smirked.
“Try to stop me, if you dare.”

## Page 5
Brooklyn took a deep breath, like before a big gymnastics move.
She gently scooped up the baby versions of her friends.
“I’ve got you,” she whispered.

## Page 6
The witch zoomed around the living room, knocking over pillows and laughing.
Brooklyn followed her with careful steps.
She watched the wand more than the witch.

## Page 7
Brooklyn remembered what her dad once said: “A brave heart can make big problems smaller.”
She stood tall and pointed her chin up.
“Give me the spell to fix them!”

## Page 8
The witch spun toward her, eyes glowing like tiny flashlights.
“Fix them? Never!” she hissed.
A spark of magic shot straight at Brooklyn.

## Page 9
Brooklyn ducked behind the couch, still hugging the babies close.
The magic hit a pillow and made it poof with dust.
Brooklyn popped up and shouted, “You can scare me, but you can’t stop me!”

## Page 10
The witch growled and blasted magic again across the room.
Brooklyn saw the wand wobble in the witch’s hand.
She grabbed a throw pillow and aimed.

Thump!
The pillow smacked the wand, and it flew up, twirled like a leaf, and dropped at Brooklyn’s feet.
Brooklyn snatched it fast.

## Page 12
Brooklyn pointed the wand at her friends.
“Please work,” she whispered.
She traced a small sparkling circle in the air.

## Page 13
A warm glow wrapped around Lizzie and Brielle and lifted them gently from her arms.
They grew back to normal and blinked in surprise.
Brielle gasped, “I was crawling!”

## Page 14
Brooklyn turned to the witch, who stomped and frowned.
Brooklyn waved the wand carefully and said, “Shrink that witch!”
The witch shrank smaller and smaller until she was smaller than a bee.

The friends put a cup over the teeny witch so she couldn’t escape.
Lizzie hugged Brooklyn tight. “You saved us!”
Brooklyn grinned and said, “Now I’m putting you in my doll story—because this time, the trouble gets a lid.”
