Editing Story Template Name Story outline Set it in a fantasy kingdom far, far away. Adapt the Jack and the Beanstalk story, preserving the story arc. Make sure to include these parts of the story, adjusted for Jack to be the main character and the mom to be the supporting character: - Jack and his mother are poor. Their home is cold, they can't afford to buy food anymore, and all of their valuable possessions have been slowly disappearing. They now have only one prized possession left. - Jack is sent to sell it - On the way, Jack trades it for a handful of magic beans - His mother doesn't see any value in the beans and tells Jack to throw the beans out the window because they can't eat them - Overnight, a giant beanstalk grows into the clouds - Jack climbs the beanstalk and discovers a magical kingdom in the sky - Jack sees that a fearsome giant lives there who preys on children - The giant arrives, sensing Jack's presence — he says "Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell someone". The giant should speak in rhymes - Jack hides and watches the giant put another piece of treasure in his pile of treasure - Jack realizes all the treasure has been stolen from the poor people in his town, including him and his mother — that's why they're now poor - The giant falls asleep and Jack steals some of the treasure, escaping down the beanstalk - The treasure is more valuable than anything Jack's mother has ever seen in her whole life. They use the treasure to buy food for themselves and their neighbours - Jack is told not to go back because it's too dangerous - But after a little while, everyone is hungry and poor again. Jack realizes he must go back to steal enough all of the treasure - But as he's trying to leave with the treasure, there's so much that he drops some of it and it wakes the giant. - Jack picks back up the dropped treasure and the giant chases Jack who runs to the beanstalk - Jack slides down the beanstalk and reaches the bottom first. He's much quicker at climbing down than the Giant - Jack's mother destroys the beanstalk as the giant tries to climb down — the giant falls and hits the ground. He does not get up. Don't say he's dead, just leave it implied. - Jack and his mother live happily ever after, their lives transformed by what Jack brought back. They share the treasure with their neighbours, and they are all no longer poor and can afford to eat and live happy lives because of Jack's bravery Give me a bullet point summary of the story.
